½ pound fresh green beans, stem end removed and snapped into bite size pieces
1 slice of raw bacon, cut into 1” pieces
2 small potatoes, washed, unpeeled, and cut into small wedges
1 small onion, peeled and cut into wedges
1 teaspoon of seasoned salt or regular salt
1/8 teaspoon of black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and add water just enough to cover. Bring to a boil. Cover the pan with a lid and turn the heat down. Simmer for 45 to 60 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender and beans are the texture you prefer. Check seasoning before serving. Makes 2 to 4 servings.
Note: Make 3 to 4 times the amount in the above recipe. They are great reheated and will keep in the fridge for at least a week.
