How Our CSA Works

Willow Haven Farm is a small, family-owned farm that provides fresh, locally grown vegetables and other nutritious farm foods.  The farm is managed with organic growing methods and we strive to offer safe, healthy, and nutritious food.  Our farm products are available through our CSA and our Saturday farm market.

Willow Haven Farm's CSA offers a customized weekly box of fresh vegetables produced on the farm.  Most of the vegetables will be picked within 48 hours of delivery.  Your box will contain a variety of seasonal crops which you can customize each week.  Unlike grocery stores that purchase shipments of food from thousands of miles away, you will receive locally grown vegetables grown in season.  This means that not all vegetables will be available every month of the year.

Additional products can be added to the vegetable share.  Add-on shares include eggs, bread, fruit, and cheese.  We raise chickens on the farm and bake the bread.  The fruit and cheese are purchased from trusted sources.  The fruit is our only product that is not produced with organic methods.

You will choose to receive your shares every week or every other week.

For more information about how decide what size share to choose see the FAQ article here.

The season will begin the first week of June and will continue into October for a total of 20 weeks.

If you choose a Bi-weekly share, You will receive a notice before the first delivery of your start week with all the information you will need.

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to customize your pre-packed box each week.  You will tell us at the beginning of the season what your favorite and least favorite vegetables are and we will send you a list of what is ready each week from which to choose.  You will also be able to add extras.  Find out more here.

Wed 2pm - 4pm

One attractive feature of our CSA is delivery directly to your home.  This is a good option for those who are very busy or do not get out of their homes well. Delivery day is Wednesday usually between 2 pm - 4pm .  Our delivery area is approximately 10 miles from the farm.

Home delivery is available to the following:
     * those who live within 10 miles of the farm
     * within the city of Bethlehem, Allentown, Whitehall, Emmaus, Macungie, Brieningsville, Trexlertown, Catasaqua, Northampton, Schnecksville, Orefield, and New Tripoli
     * returning members who received home delivery at the same address in 2016

WE ARE FLEXIBLE - please contact us if you have a question about delivery to your home.  http://www.willowhavenfarmpa.com/contact

Delivery is available to an alternate location upon request. For example, you may live outside of the delivery area but can accept your box of vegetable at your workplace which is in the delivery area. Please include this delivery address when asked to verify your delivery location.

To determine your distance from the farm, please use Google Maps.

Wed pick up 12 pm - 6 pm.
Sat. 10 am - 2 pm.

A great option is choosing to pick up your CSA vegetables directly from the farm.  I find that more people are satisfied when they can select their varieties and quantities.  At the farm, I have a larger selection and you also will be able to purchase additional products that are not available for delivery. If you decide to do this, you may either pick up a customized pre-packed box on Wednesday or you may choose your vegetables during our Saturday market. You will choose either Wed or Sat. for the entire season.

Wed 3 pm - 8 pm

Your vegetables will be delivered in a pre-packed waxed box to the Keystone Homebrew Store located 126-128 E Third St. Bethlehem between 2 - 3 pm.  You must be there before the store closes at 8 p.m. to pick up your vegetables. The store does not have the ability to store your vegetable box overnight.  If you miss your pick up your box will be donated.

We are willing to consider creating new pickup locations if there is interest from at least 10 families in a particular area.  Please contact us.
