Fall CSA - Late Season Shares

Posted 9/15/2017 9:54am by Reuben DeMaster.

Our Summer CSA members have enjoyed 16 of the 20 weeks of our CSA season. They enjoyed the ability to customize their box each time through our Harvie program.  For the Fall though, we scale back to a simpler CSA model.

After this weekend, bi-weekly members should expect 2 more shares. Weekly members should expect 4 more shares. HOWEVER, because of the ability to change your weeks and customize your schedule your exact remaining deliveries could be different. Please check your harvie account at Harvie.co to find out, especially if you took vacations or needed a make up week at the end of the season.

BUT YOUR SEASON DOESN'T HAVE TO END!

Every year we offer a season extension of 6 more weeks of fall vegetables which continues until mid-December. Because the farm works at slower capacity during the fall and winter we only offer this Fall Season Share for pick up at the Farm. The cost is $150 for 6 weeks Oct. 28 - December 9 and you pick up 6 items each week. Sign up is only on our main Farm Website www.willowhavenfarmpa.com.

We hope many of you will join our Late Season CSA, especially because the vegetables keep growing and we have to keep picking them. You might as well eat them! We love to see you during our slower season and we still have the market store shelves stocked with coffee, honey, herbs, ferments, organic meats, cheese & of course, our sourdough bread!

Many members find they enjoy coming to the farm in the fall when The Farmers have more time to chat, the wood stove in our market is blazing, and the Farm Grandma is spinning our Jacob's wool. It is a pleasant farm visit and you never know what new project Reuben will be working on while you are there.

We'll keep farming for you!
